比特币创下近两个月来最大单周跌幅，有关拜登可能提高美国富人资本利得税的报道加剧了比特币波动性。
上周五出现的新一轮抛售推动比特币盘中最多下跌7.9%至47525美元，击穿100日移动均线。华尔街分析师警告称，比特币可能进一步下挫。
上周比特币累计跌幅16.24%，是2月末风险资产大范围下跌以来的最糟糕时期。即使是过去几天上涨的数字货币，比如以太币和狗狗币周五也掉头下挫。
Delta Exchange首席执行官Pankaj Balani表示：“在这次涨势中，比特币跌破了50天移动平均线支撑位。看起来还有下行空间。”

日本首相菅义伟宣布，从本周日至5月11日，东京，大阪和另外两个县进入疫情防控紧急状态，这是日本政府迄今为遏制冠状病毒感染而采取的最严厉举措
。经济学家们认为，严格的防疫措施甚至可能将日本拖向双底衰退。
上述紧急状态令将覆盖东京，大阪，京都和兵库县，这几个地区人口数量约占日本四分之一。目前距离东京奥运会仅三个月，日本正在努力扑灭疫情火苗。该国1.26亿人口只有不到2%接种了疫苗，远远落后于许多发达经济体的接种率。

【4月黄金ETF流出放缓】
德国商业银行分析师Carsten Fritsch报告指出，金价若要重返1800美元，市场必须看到黄金ETF资金流的趋势逆转，而这已经有点迹象，
因为ETF资金流出的动能已经放缓，4月每日的流出量为1.5吨，较3月份近6吨的速度缓和许多。

但是，供应短缺和运输挑战使制造商满足需求的努力被复杂化，同时还推高了材料成本。
周五公布的政府数据显示，美国3月新建住宅折合年率销量上升20.7%至102万套，该数据超越所有经济学家的预估，此前一个月上修后为84.6万套。
恶劣的天气在2月份推迟了购房者的行动，而且可售房源短缺也阻碍了购买。鉴于借贷成本尽管近几周有所回升但仍处于历史低位附近，并且随着疫情仍在继续，民众对更多空间的需求仍然强劲。
