短短十日内，比特币已现两次崩盘式行情。据非小号行情数据，自比特币2021年4月14日涨至64354美元大关刷新历史新高后，很快价格便出现逐步回调。第一次大跌出现在4月18日，比特币跌破60000美元，一度跌至54009美元；第二次大跌则在4月23日，比特币价格再次从55000美元跳水至47600美元。两次价格崩盘后，十日内，比特币价格已大跌26%，市值蒸发数千亿美元。
当前，比特币价格仍处于剧烈波动中，截至4月25日18时，比特币价格报49531美元，24小时涨幅0.53%，近7日跌幅10.61%。此外，跟比特币保持一致，其他主流虚拟货币也出现下跌。截至4月25日18时，以太坊、瑞波币、莱特币等币种，价格均较前段时间的高位下跌逾10%-20%不等。
从暴跌原因来看，零壹智库区块链研究总监、数字资产研究院研究员蒋照生告诉北京商报记者，比特币近期大跌主要是受外部因素影响，首先，以美中韩为代表的主权国家正加强对加密货币产业的税收和监管力度，一定程度上引起投资者情绪恐慌；其次，全球经济正在逐步回暖，传统资本市场的避险资金量减少，比特币市场的增量资金减少，且早前由机构投资者带动的上涨行情正在消退。
南开大学金融学教授、联储证券董事兼首席经济学家李全则认为，比特币估值尚缺乏充分证据，大涨大跌仍是常态，当监管口径趋严时，其下跌不可避免，而市场交易需求旺盛时，其价格高企也很正常，未来可能将继续大幅震荡。
每一次比特币的暴涨暴跌，都加剧了投机客的风险。北京商报记者注意到，4月23日，比特币第二次暴跌下，单日内就有超50万人爆仓，超200亿元资金灰飞烟灭。
“比特币开启的是连环杀。”一位业内人士谈道，按照比特币的波动，除非完全无杠杆，基本上加杠杆的人资产都会被打爆，不管是空头还是多头，抵押物不足一律会被强平。
热度高涨的比特币，近期也引发多方发声。4月25日，国是金融改革研究院院长刘胜军便在星火数科十二周年盛典暨理财师峰会上直言道，比特币是乌托邦，目前已进入“自娱自乐”的泡沫最后阶段。
“比特币是否进入最后阶段，尚不得而知，但比特币确实在自娱自乐，未来投资比特币起码面临两大风险，一是足够强势的数字货币出现，将颠覆比特币的游戏规则；二是监管口径的规则变化，将深度影响其市场发展。”李全评价道。
不过，蒋照生认为，比特币在不依赖任何中心化机构的情况下良好运营了十余年，自然有其内在的技术与价值逻辑，业内应当理性看待比特币的投资价值。
比特币暴跌的同时，一场关于虚拟货币的强监管风暴也正袭来。北京商报记者注意到，近几日，银保监会、央行密集发声，分别对虚拟货币加强风险提示，其中，银保监会强调将密切关注打着区块链、虚拟货币以及解债服务等旗号的新型风险，央行也称将针对利用虚拟货币、区块链技术逃避溯源等新手法、新问题，针对性加强风险防范处置。
自2017年9月央行等七部委联合发布《关于防范代币发行融资风险的公告》后，监管针对虚拟货币的清理围剿一直在继续，无论是虚拟货币发行融资还是炒作交易，都在监管打击及法律禁止范围之内。
业内普遍认为，多方监管打击、价格暴涨暴跌下，比特币等虚拟货币仍面临重重风险隐患。在李全看来，目前比特币并不为多数主流国家监管机构所全面认可，对其交易仍属于高风险市场的范畴，因此，币圈投资者应根据监管机构的口径来理解交易路径，规避有可能发生的金融风险。
