尽管自危机最严重时期以来，美国经济已经恢复了1300多万个就业岗位，但仍有大约900万人失业。
随着各州和地方政府放宽限制，越来越多的人正重返工作岗位。但鲍威尔说，还需要做更多的工作，特别是对那些收入较低的人来说，他们遭受的冲击最大。

在最近的经济预测中，美联储官员预计2021年美国GDP将增长6.5%，这将是1984年以来最快的增长速度。
