根据该计划，腾讯音乐可在自2021年3月29日起的12个月内，以美国存托凭证的形式回购至多10亿美元的A类普通股。
此前，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）于当地时间24日发布声明称，配合《外国公司问责法案》的规定草案的临时最终修正已获通过。法案规定，如果有外国发行人连续三年出现未能达到美国的审计标准，那么将从美国证券交易所退市。市场普遍认为，该法案出台的目的就是针对在美上市的中国企业。
在过去三个交易日，腾讯音乐跌幅分别为27.08%、12.17%、1.28%，市值蒸发208亿美元（折合人民币大约1300亿元）。
截至周五美股收盘，腾讯音乐股价收于20.10美元，市值337.18亿美元。
