据报导，美国德州检察长在周二(16日)表示，又有4个州加入了美国德州和其他州针对Alphabet旗下谷歌( GOOGL-US )的诉讼，这些州指控谷歌违反反托拉斯法，强化该公司本就占据主导地位优势的广告业务。
德州检察长Ken Paxton 表示，新加入诉讼的有阿拉斯加州、佛罗里达州、蒙大拿州、内华达州和波多黎各，也使得这件在去年12 月提起的诉讼案原告数量达到15 个州和地区。该诉讼是美联邦政府或州政府去年针对谷歌所提出的三项诉讼之一。
在该项诉讼中，检方指控谷歌违法干涉网路广告竞争，并与脸书合作达成非法协议，在已经占据主导性地位的网路广告业务进一步巩固自身地位，进而垄断市场。
Paxton 曾表示：「如果说自由市场是一场棒球比赛，那么球场上的投手、打击跟裁判都是谷歌的人。」
Paxton 在一份声明中表示，谷歌收集了数千个用户资料，并通过这些个人资讯来获利，该公司向广告商、发布人和消费者隐瞒相关行为和动机。Paxton 表明，美国各州检方将让谷歌为自身违法行为负责，并改变谷歌在未来的做法。检方确信，谷歌将为这些不当行为面临金钱上的代价。
美国司法部(DOJ) 也已对谷歌提起反垄断诉讼，指控谷歌透过掌握主要搜寻引擎管道—如控制安卓与iOS 系统的搜寻引擎—排除其他竞争对手，并借此非法维持搜寻引擎服务的垄断地位，当时德州以及其他十州检察长也参加这项司法部的诉讼。
